This year it feels as though Christmas will never end lol Today we went and had Christmas with Kris' Mom and Mark! They made us an awesome dinner!! (as they do every weekend...yes they spoil us!) And of course, we opened gifts!! I think we all made out very well :)
Nancy had mentioned something she had wanted back in May and to my surprise (I've had no memory since Nick was born lol) I remembered and surprised her with that! Mark was harder to shop for (as I think most Dads are) but I think I found the perfect gift for him! As with all of the grandparents, I made a calendar of Nick's 1st year of life! They turned out AMAZING...however it was alot of work and I do not forsee that happening again in the near future haha
Since we had been out of town, Kris was not around to pick out the winter coat he wanted (but he has it now..as this post is late!) so they gave him some money so he could buy the one he wanted. (KNOCK ON WOOD...we have YET to get snow...and its Jan 7th!!) We got a good deal on the coat....and since my Hubby is AWESOME...we decided we should get a new bed (comforter) set with some of the money! (the rest he gets to spend all on himself =)) Now, most people think Macy's is way overpriced..I however just LOVE shopping there! We got our almost $400 set for a little under $50! Yep, I am THAT good!! (I'm sure the after xmas sales had a little something to do with me being THAT good lol) So I am super excited to start using it!
Onto me....I got the pandora bracelet I wanted and my favorite charm...THE OWL! haha Now, that would only be funny to those who know how my husband feels about owls lol I will have to post about that at a later date. I also received some really nice earrings...Nick's birthstone :) And of course, a voucher for ONE GIRLS DAY OUT!!! My MIL and I love those days!! We go get our hair done and grab lunch and do some shopping! Its nice to have a day to spend just the two of us (I am sooo lucky I have awesome in laws)
Nick made out extremely well.....as to be expected! He is LOVING all of his new toys! Our child is not spoiled at all hahahaha At least he's not a spoiled brat....he is by far the happiest and sweetest kid I have ever come across =) And he will share with anyone!
