Fun to be ONE!!
In fact, its sooo much fun we had another party the next day!! This was with Kris' Mom and Mark and Nick's Great Grandparents!! It was very relaxing and exactly what we all needed after the long few days before! I used the banners from the party the day before and since we still had some of the cake left, we just had that again! Like I said, it was a HUGE cake lol

Nick's Winter ONEderland!!!!
His party was a SUCCESS!!! I can't thank those who helped out enough!!!! Nick sure is one LOVED kid!
We had the party downstairs at my in-laws home! They did a great job helping us get everything ready! If I had more time I probably would have gone out of control with the decorations but my life is waaay to busy.. maybe when he's old enough to enjoy them =) I went with the theme "Winter ONEderland" thinking of course it will be snowing....its NEW ENGLAND! However, there was no snow =( In fact, it was such a nice day we could have BBQ'd outside and gotten a bounce house! {well maybe lol but I am glad Nick's party was different!}

Cake Boss
So since its my little peanuts FIRST birthday....I decided to make his cake!!! With the help of my friend Janelle of course! I have to say....I didn't think it would be as much fun as it was....but we had a blast!! Luckily, we also had the help of her friend Kristen! It was alot of work and took ALL day but it was sooo worth it!! And although it does not look that big, it was! Each layer of the cake had a layer of vanilla AND chocolate! Oh my this thing was HUGE!
So we started off with white fondant and colored it to what we needed and HAND MADE EVERYTHING! Right down to the feet, noses and eyes! Who knew we were so creative :)

Winter 2012
Last year was a VERY snow filled winter!! This year has been quite mild! In fact, we just got our first snow yesterday!! So as soon as we got up we took our little boy out to play for his FIRST time in the snow :)
He wasn't too sure at first...then LOVED it....but he kinda got over it after a bit.
