Blessing Day

We had Nick blessed at my church on Sunday 3*27*11.  This was a very special day for me.  My dad was the one to give the blessing and I have never seen him so happy =)  As to be expected, Nick was quiet and perfect during the blessing.  Afterwards we had a luncheon at my parents and it was nice to see alot of the extended family and friends that I do not get to see very often.

First Flight!!

Going to CA, our flight was delayed and the flight was even LONGER due to the weather across the middle of the states!! I have to say, I was nervous about how he would do on the flight.....HE WAS PERFECT!!! He slept the WHOLE time, there and back!!  Don't worry, I changed and fed him during the flight =)  I had asked some friends for advice (as they had little ones they had flown with) and the outcome was to fly now and not wait!! I'm glad I did. The older they get, the harder it is! So we will see how he does when we fly back in Dec as he will be almost a year old then!

Leaving CA

Leaving CA was pretty much a disaster!!!  I have NEVER seen Long Beach airport so busy!!  They rushed us (and everyone else heading to Boston) through security as fast as they could!  So much that the bins were piling up on each other and everyones stuff was falling out everywhere.  It was quiet comical if you ask me!  Well, we stopped at a bench to put our shoes back on and Kris realized he didn't have his wallet....and our flight is ready to take off!!  So the airport security is searching frantically for his wallet and Kris is freaking out....only to find that in the midst of all the chaos and bins spilling everywhere that he had thrown it into one of our bags so he could grab his shoes and we could clear out of that area!!  Silly husband!  Needless to say, he felt ridiculous =)  So we hurried off to the gate so we could board the plane!  With 2 minutes before take off to spare....we were boarded and ready to go!!  The flight home was easy and we landed almost an hour early!!  =)  It was definitely hard to leave my family, but I sure am glad to be home!!

Nick's Exciting Weekend......

So this last weekend, Kris' dad and wife have a HUGE St Pattys Day party with all the family and friends!!  For me its like going to Silkys.....but BETTER!  There is NO drama =)  This year, we took our little Nick!  He got to meet alot of the family he hadn't met yet and recieved even MORE gifts!!  Spoiled much...I think so!  Here are just a few pics of Nick that day....

Kris' sister Katrina was also in town this week and we had so much fun with her!!  We were sad to see her leave =(  But while she was here the weather was FINALLY nice enough to take our little man out for his first walk!!  I have to say, I am LOVING my jogging stroller!  It even has built in speakers so I can plug in my ipod/iphone!  I was totally rocking out and Kris was just laughing at me =)

Mommys Lucky Charm <3

So as I have done every year since I was a kid, I had my Lucky Charms for breakfast =)  Nick and I had a fun day together (I LOVE being home with him!!) and when Daddy came home from work we had our corned beef and cabbage dinner...YUM!! 

Hope everyone had a safe and happy day as well =)

Haha... I LOVE this kid!!  We had a blast, but he sure is worn out!! =)

What I've Learned.......

When the Hubby says "Honey, I will watch the baby so you can have some time to yourself" I get excited and dash to the bathroom for a loooooooonnnnngggg HOT shower and then to bed for some uninterrupted sleep!!!  Once in a while I will run some errands or have girl time.....but 9 times out of 10, I opt for SLEEP!  haha  The joys of mommyhood and a newborn!!

But the best part after some sleep, is waking up and grabbing this cute little face for some kisses and snuggles :)

Growing Up.....

Can you believe this little munchkin is ONE MONTH already!!!  I still can't get over how big he is getting and how much he changes day to day!! 

So I got this idea from my friend RaShell and it is too cute not to do =)  Every month I will put him in a 12 month onesie so we can watch his growth over the first year!!
